ASD is proud to offer state-of-the art technology for our students and staff throughout our campus.  Each classroom has at least 2 desktop computers, a SMART Board, an LCD Projector, and most have document cameras.  Each school building has a computer lab for use for group projects and activities. Digital cameras and camcorders are available in each school for use in school projects and activities. Each teacher, and many houseparents, are assigned a Netbook for use on and off campus. We also have a Visual Intercom system to communicate messages across campus. Teachers are trained in and dedicated to integrating all forms of technology in their classrooms to engage their students.

In 2009, students participated in a Film Festival to highlight their work in digital storytelling. Through the use of cameras, camcorders, and Microsoft Movie Maker, students created amazing short films which were screened for the entire school. The winning movies in both the High School and Elementary School divisions will be posted here at a later date.
