My name is Adam Goyne and I'm the Middle School Science teacher here at the Arkansas School for the Deaf.  Throughout the course of the year we will be learning about various science disiplines including Life Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science. 

Over the last couple of weeks, we have discussed topics about physical science.  In the 6th grade class, we have focused on forces, motion, and calculating speed, distance, and time. We will soon move onto simple machines and work.  The 7th grade class is discussing properties of matter, and calculating volume and density of objects.  The 8th grade class has just finished with the bodies immune system and how it works with the body as a whole, and now is moving on to the central nervous system.
