2019 ASD Carnival

The Arkansas School for the Deaf is hosting its 8th annual Elementary Spring Carnival. This event is one way of saying thank you to our neighborhood, community, friends, and family. It will be held on Thursday, April 25th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Arkansas School for the Deaf.

The inspiration of ASD hosting a spring carnival came as a way to connect, engage and build relationships within the community by bringing our ‘youngest’ community members together. We are reaching out to neighboring residents, surrounding schools, and businesses to come together for an evening of fun, family entertainment.

Our football field will be completely transformed into a dazzling carnival setting. Patrons will be amazed with the variety of attractions and professional performers. This annual event has grown into an unforgettable and anticipated community event.

ASD Anti-Bullying

ASD is committed to providing a safe environment for all. To that end, we have added a link where students, parents and community members can report any incidents of concern safely and confidentially. Please go to “Contact Us” on the ASD homepage and then “Report Bullying.” You will then be linked to our Anti-Bullying page, where you will be directed to complete a reporting form. We have also linked several websites as parent resources. We hope you find this page helpful! Please do not hesitate to call the administration or the counseling department with any questions.

Our Superintendent encourages our staff and teachers to keep this word in mind as our staff work throughout the day. Dr. Dickinson would love to see an ASD culture where we focus on INSPIRING each other and our students every day.
